Becky Lourey for Governor is seeking skilled political, fundraising and grassroots organizers committed to electing Minnesota’s first woman Governor. The “must haves” for our staff:

  • A passion for issues of quality education, accessible health care, effective transportation, and sustainable energy.
  • A desire to work in a fast-paced, team-based [or -oriented] professional environment.
  • A willingness to devote profuse amounts of energy to the campaign through November, 2006.



Fundraising Associate
Becky Lourey is seeking to hire additional fundraising staff. Fundraising staff work as members of the fundraising and finance team. Each Fundraising Associate is responsible for a portfolio of activities/events and programs that provide supporters an opportunity to invest in the campaign and the political process. Fluency in a language other than English, experience in an affinity community or professional sales experience is desired. Fundraising Associates will be working closely with volunteers to ensure broad-based involvement in the campaign’s fundraising efforts. Fundraising Associates should have a minimum of 3 years of fundraising, development or sales experience and be highly computer literate. Field Associate
Becky Lourey is seeking to hire additional field staff. Field staff work as members of the Field and Convention teams on the campaign. Their primary responsibility is to provide targeted and strategic support to volunteers who are organizing their communities in support of Sen. Lourey’s campaign. Field staff should have a minimum of 3 years of campaign experience and be highly computer literate. Fluency in a language other than English, experience in an affinity community or prior involvement in issue organizing is desired. Internships
A wide variety of internship opportunities are available through the campaign. Internships can be in any aspect of the campaign including policy, political field, communications, fundraising, marketing, candidate support or finance. If you are currently a student who is seeking a Spring Semester or Summer internship opportunity working on the campaign, please contact Claire Wilson with a copy of your resume and your desired learning objectives.
